Tailgate with us

We’ll be online starting a couple of hours before today’s 6 p.m. game with updates and discussion from Memorial Stadium. From my home, about a mile from Memorial Stadium, it looks like a great day for football.

I’m planning on checking out the Walk to the Rock at 4 p.m. and then will head straight to the press box, where hopefully IU’s wireless Internet will be working. I’ve got prizes for the person who posts the closest prediction of today’s final score and for the best question or comment about the game. If we get a really good question or comment from a reader, we’ll use it in tomorrow’s paper.

New IU basketball beat reporter/IU football columnist Chris Korman will wander over to Assembly Hall around 4:15 to see if the reported scrimmage featuring Eric Gordon and Derrick Rose takes place. We’ll let you know.

By the way, it’s not a scrimmage, it’s a pick-up game. A scrimmage would be an NCAA violation.

Waddy, you are right about it being a pick-up game. People, including me, have been calling it a scrimmage but it really would be just the players getting together on their own and playing.

I think it will be Indiana-35; Western Michigan-14

Interesting post. I came across this blog by accident, but it was a good accident. I have now bookmarked your blog for future use. Best wishes. Leeann Tweeden.
