Bud Mackey, the Kentucky guard who became Indiana’s first basketball verbal for the class of 2008, will hold a press conference Monday afternoon at his high school.

Mackey, his family and Scott County basketball coach Billy Hicks will all speak during the press conference. We’ll try to provide more coverage tomorrow.

That is really great to hear. I’m really happy for my good buddy Kelvin Sampson. He sure knows how to recruit and is doing a great job restoring IU back to the glory days. Way to go Kelvin, you deserve it!!!!!!

P.S. Call me, you’ll have to come over to my house and play checkers with me. I’ll be the Illini and you can be the powerhouse Hoosiers. K. Cool!
