Florida safety picks Hoosiers

Jarrell Drane, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound safety from Plantation, Fla., has given a verbal commitment to play football at Indiana in 2007.

Drane missed all of his senior season with an arm injury, except for the last two games, causing some schools to lose interest. He picked Indiana over South Florida.

There are a number of high school players from the South, particularly defensive players, who are making visits to IU this month, so we should see more commitments in the next week or two.

Hello….this is just a general football comment……After watching all of the bowl games, I determined that we should recruit in the south. Instead of taking Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State mid-western leftovers……lets take the LSU, Florida and other SEC leftovers. Obviously, the Big 10 continues to be a joke in the world of atletics. And Indiana is at the bottom of the pile. Maybe Sampson can change things on the basketball front.

The glory days of Notre Dame football appear to be as distant as the glory days of IU basketball. The competition appears to just be too good.

Assembly Hall……dont change a thing. Unless our round ball gets better, we may have trouble getting this one paid off.

Sorry, just in a bad mood after watching Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame. The pride of the mid-west.
