Elston a Hoosier

Derek Elston

Derek Elston, the Tipton standout, has signed his letter of intent to attend Indiana University next fall.

Elston will have a ceremony later on today, but has faxed in his signed letter.

Elston is the kind of inside-out player that Tom Crean craves. He’s a big guy who can rebound and guard Big Ten post players, but also can step out and knock down long jumpers.

Hugh, I think you wrote Tipton a few times when you meant to say Elston.

Raise your game, you’re better than that!
