The Indiana women’s basketball team announced two more 2009 signees today, bringing the total recruiting class to four.

The latest additions are 6-foot-2 forward Jasmine Davis of Metropolis, Ill. (insert Superman joke here), and 6-1 junior college transfer Hope Elam. Davis averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds as a junior. Elam, a forward, transferred from St. Louis to Vincennes University, where she is averaging 31.3 points and 12.7 rebounds in her first three games this season. She is a former Miss Illinois Basketball Award finalist from Champaign, Ill. — take that Bruce Weber.

They join 6-1 forward Aulani Sinclair of Eminence and 5-6 point guard Sasha Bernard of Delray Beach, Fla., who signed last week.

Not sure how good Miss Davis’ word is…she verbaled to Univ of New Mex and backed out after other recruits were turned away and moved on. Left the coaches and staff high and dry!!

Hope she stays with you through the tough times!!

These are some great recruits and Coach Jack, Coach Abe and the others who were involved should be commended to land these quality players.

I hope the IU Nation can step up and start supporting the Lady Hoosiers at least a little better than we are now.
