Willis listed as questionable

Indiana starting running back Darius Willis is listed as “questionable” on the injury report released today. He had been listed as “probable” earlier this week, and sat out practice Monday. Bill Lynch had planned to increase his workload as the week wore on, and said Tuesday he anticipated having the redshirt freshman on the field Saturday in Charlottesville.

Willis told me earlier this week that his injury will linger, as he has a chipped bone that will need to be dealt with after the season.

Leon Beckum, the second-string middle linebacker from Bloomington North, has gone from “doubtful” to “out” with an ankle injury. That’s the only other change in the injury list, which can be found in its entirety below.

Player                                 Injury          Status
Darius Johnson, DE        Shoulder    Out
Fred Jones, DE                 Foot            Out
Leon Beckum, LB             Ankle         Out
Darius Willis, RB             Ankle          Questionable
Justin Pagán, OL             Ankle          Probable
James Brewer, OL           Ankle          Probable
