ESPN 3, as in online like the Virgina away game. I know we are IU football against the powerhouse of BSU, but seriously, they can’t get someone to televise the game? And I see North Texas is on ESPN3 as well. A twofer!

  • Podunker says:

Did Wilson schedule this game? If so, someone needs to explain that it’s a “no win” situation to open the season against BSU. If IU wins, they were supposed to. If IU loses, Wilson’s tenure begins with a flop and IU stumbles out of the gate. In that sense, I guess its worth watching.

No offense to our friends from BSU, but IU’s got to win BIG or it will be seen as a disappointing start to the Wilson era. I’m not saying Wilson should run up the score, but a close game in the fouth quarter will not be good for IU FB.

  • Ball State Hoosier says:

I don’t think IU has to worry.. based on what I’ve seen from the Cards the past 2 years, this is a minimum 17 point victory.

  • Matt says:

Podunker: The BSU game is the first of a “home” and home series that we agreed to in 2010, before Wilson was hired. The original plan was for us to play this game in Muncie and the series would shift to Bloomington in 2012.

  • Cant wait says:

This should be a great time. In Indianapolis against our BSU friends. IU should win, but I think it will be a good game. In-state games usually are. I will be flying in for this one. HOO HOO HOOSIERS!

  • BeatPurdue says:

I thought that the point of the Big Ten Network-BTN-was to televise games exactly like Indiana versus Ball State and North Texas. Can’t they at least show it at midnight so we can see the Hoosiers play?

  • Jimmy says:

The BTN doesn’t have the rights to non-conf. road games (although they did purchase the rights to the WKU game last year).

  • Byrd says:

This is a BSU home game. Ball State wanted to move it to Indy

  • BeatPurdue says:

So IU vs WKU is somehow more valuable than IU vs Ball State? I am puzzled.

  • Podunker says:

    Matt; Thanks. That explains it.
