The above photo comes courtesy of a man named Jack Mulichak, via CNBC journalist and Twitter fanatic Darren Rovell. If you’ll notice, there are 11 school helmets (and the Big Ten conference logo) being sold in this set.
You’ll also notice that Riddell replaced Indiana with Oklahoma. Easy mistake – plenty of discussion today about how similar Indiana’s “new” uniforms look to Oklahoma’s, and there was that whole Indiana hiring OU coach Kevin Wilson-thing.
Obviously this is old – the Big Ten logo is old, and there’s also no Nebraska. Still – pretty odd and sorta fitting that Indiana would be the one missing.
Perhaps this season’s set will include Indiana, but replace the Ohio State helmet with a Matchbox Dodge Charger. One can only dream.
