Hoosier Brunch

Today is Lynn Houser’s last day with us at the Herald-Times, and for all his work and dedication to IU and the rest of the community, this Hoosier Brunch is dedicated to him. Thanks Houser.

The Hoosiers enchanted season of renewal couldn’t end any other way, Dustin wrote, as IU swept Purdue with a win on senior night.

In a roller coaster of a season, Indiana is on the upswing at just the right time, I wrote in my column.

Robbie Hummel and a few other Boilermakers commented on IU’s season of resurgence, Andy wrote.

Tom Crean’s first four-year senior class was rewarded on Sunday night for their tenacity after three years of frustration, Houser wrote.

There’s no limits with this Hoosiers squad after an impressive senior night, Pete DiPrimio of the News Sentinel writes.

In his column, Bob Kravitz of the Indy Star writes that this five-man senior class will finally have a year to enjoy.

Jeff Washburn of the Lafayette J&C writes that Indiana’s 3-point show rained down on Purdue.

Avi Zaleon of the IDS tells us who has the most to gain, the most to lose, and other Big Ten Tournament notes.

Terry Hutchens of the Indy Star gives us his ballot for this year’s All-Big Ten teams.

In honor of Houser, here’s his Sports Illustrated story from 1987, about a boy, a marble, some pencils, and a dream. Good stuff.

I was looking at the Big Ten tourney brackets and Michigan being the #2 seed could have a difficult second round game. they play the winner between Minn. and Northwestern. Both teams are hungry and could be a difficult out.

  • HT says:

True. MSU also may have a fight on their hands in the second round. Iowa can beat anyone on a given night, and who ever knows what Illannoy will do – they have top 25 talent and their rut is only a mental one, like Dakich crew.
