Injury notes from spring football

Didn’t have a chance to get this up last night, but a few injury notes from Kevin Wilson on spring practice.

Wilson said tight end Paul Phillips has a stress fracture in his foot that has cost him time. Defensive end Ryan Phillis has bone spurs in his ankle that will require surgery. Safety Alexander Webb also broke his fibia bone which will cost him four weeks.

Wilson also said running back Matt Perez has an injured disc in his back. He had a surgery to relieve pressure, and Wilson said he doesn’t expect him back until summer. Running back Anthony Davis, a transfer from Dayton who will have to sit out this season because of transfer rules, has also missed several practices with an ankle injury. Carries in the spring have gone to Stephen Houston, D’Angelo Roberts, Isaiah Roundtree and David Blackwell.

Dustin, you just invented a new bone, the fibia. There are two bones that comprise the lower leg, the fibula and the tibia.

    But there is no fibia
