At this point it is speculation only but who would take over the FB program at Arkansas if Bobby Petrino is let go? Is it a job Coach Wilson would have been interested in if he were still with the Sooners? I’ll bet Rich Rod, Bob Davie, Gus Malzahn and Charlie Weis wished they had not pulled the trigger so fast.

Petrino is quite the head case. He’ll win football games for you but you’d better understand what you’re getting into.

I’m not sure that the Arkansas job is going to be that attractive. What kind of record is the next coach going to have to put up to keep from getting run out of town? When a school fires a coach fans reflexively expect the same or better from his replacement. Eight wins and they’ll be calling for the new guy’s head.

Butch Davis is available and he’ll win football games for you.

Chet, Don’t you think it would be true of any program with some tradition to have high expectations? But it would not have ND, Bama, LSU, Tex, scUM and etc. level of expectations. At least to my thinking. The problem with Butch(he is a winner)is he carries some baggage and a baggage owner is what the Hogs are going to get rid of.

Yep the one NHSI game I missed… Nice set of Perea highlights. I actually like the dunk at the 2:20 mark best – showed nice agility, footwork, and creativity with a powerful finish around defenders.

HC, the thing is, usually that kind of program hires a new coach when the one they have isn’t winning enough games. Petrino was probably the winningest coach they’ve had in decades.
