Stanford Robinson on an unofficial visit

This has been all over Twitter, including the player’s own account, but Stanford Robinson, a 2013 guard from Paul VI in Fairfax, Va. is on an unofficial visit in Bloomington today. He’s the No. 88 player in the Class of 2013 and an AAU teammate of BeeJay Anya.

Do we only have one spot left for that class or can we get both of them?

    Anya is ’13, right?

We have only the oversign left for 2013.
The way Crean is recruiting it appears that he believes that Cody and Vic will be gone to the NBA after next year.

If you presume Creek will return for his fifth year, then IU is already over the limit, but of course, something has to give here just for the 2012-13 season, and that could open up a scholarship for future classes. Plus, if Zeller is going to be halfway to his degree by the end of the summer, the possibility of him leaving after next year is much more a reality because he’ll already be on the verge of a degree by that point. Obviously, there’s the Oladipo possibility as well, though that’s certainly not a sure thing. He has a ton of talent across the board, except he is a shooting guard who can’t really shoot.

…except he is a shooting guard who can’t really shoot.

Will Dustin find the same hostility upon the same suggestion I made many months ago regarding the shooting woes of Oladipo being the only roadblock a solid chance VO going in a first round of an NBA draft next season?

Though it is an honest assessment percolating
out the the thoroughly schooled basketball brain our incomparable and knowledgeable lead journalist of Scoop, somehow I doubt it.

For what it’s worth, I have the humble opinion that Cody and Victor will remain Hoosiers until the earlier of two events: (a) the final day their eligibility or (b)the final official Division 1 game of a March Madness tournament where Indiana is victorious their earning a 6th NCAA Championship banner.

So, by the end of the summer session, Cody Zeller will have more credits than the entire Kaintuck basketball team (and in REAL classes, no less). That’s awesome.

Harvard, I agree. Cody is of the Tyler Hansborough mold (i.e. there’s more to life than the NBA contract). I hope we are right.

I think the chances of me becoming the Pope are greater than Cody staying all 4 years.

Agree. There’s really no way we don’t hang a banner within the next 3 years. Tom Crean has fixed the results.

    Pope Laffy?

Or would it be Pope Pius Laffy XIII?

I’ve put in my resume’ but no call backs yet. Maybe when traffic picks up. I’ve got a couple changes in mind.

Do they have a Pope-in-Training program?
