J.C. Hulls’ road to recovery on video

Got an e-mail today from the folks at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. The above is a patient story the hospital did on the recovery of J.C. Hulls — Jordan’s father — from tonsil cancer this summer. If you haven’t seen the initial story on Hulls’ diagnosis and surgery, you can read it here.

UPDATE: Spoke to J.C. Hulls quickly just to make sure he was cool with this going up. Just a quick update. Hulls said his last chemotherapy and radiation sessions were five weeks ago. He said he has most of his energy back, but he still can’t taste food normally. While he was undergoing radiation, he said everything tasted like metal. Now, he said, it tastes like gravel, but that actually feels like an upgrade. Water still doesn’t taste normal either, but it’s much less repulsive than it used to be. All signs are that his recovery will continue to progress in a positive fashion.

JC, Joni & their whole family are such great people. Glad he is getting better and will have many more years with his family and coaching basketball.

The Hull’s family is a great family! Glad J.C. is almost fully recovered. I didn’t know Jordan had younger brothers. Maybe they will be sharpshooters for IU in the future.
