Did anyone else notice the INIANA fan behind Dicky V at the ND-pUKe game?

Word is Butch Jones has been offered PUke HC job. Some sites saying it is a done deal. If so things get more competitive for Indiana HS recruits as he works the state hard.

Must have been a glitch on the page I read because it had James McAdoo as number 4 which would have logically put Will at three or better.

So about that SI.com ‘NBA Draft Board’- What kind of talent evaluation has Nerlens Noel #1 overall? Have they even seen him play? If he’s a 1st rounder then the state of B-ball is much worse then I thought. He has exactly 1 rudimentary offensive move and has been WAY over-hyped as a shot-blocker/defender. I got tired of hearing about him- but at least Anthony Davis was a legit talent, this guy is a chump. Boy do I hope IU gets Kensucky in the tourney.

Ron, I thought I read somewhere that the assistant coach who tried to extort Perea into signing was forced to resign from the staff. Sounded more like he was chosen to fall on his knife to give the appearance the misdeed was his and not part of a systemic problem. I’ll recheck it because I want to know myself. That’s pretty serious ****, posing to have influence inside the Department of Justice’s Immigration Division and can, therefore, dictate deportation removal.

Ron, I did check and the assistant (Morefield) who sent Perea’s high school coach the threat as part of a series of texts sent to the school coaches and authorities was forcibly removed from the staff. In addition, earlier this year the NCAA banned him from coaching at an NCAA school.

In addition, in the process, Baylor’s basketball program was found to have made some 500+ non-permissable contacts and its program and Coach were placed on a three year probation. Just like Sampson while still at Oklahoma and which he (Sampson) did not cease at IU.

There’s also much speculation in the internet that Baylor simply runs a dirty program. Morefield, the fired coach, was an Assistant to h.c. Drew while they were both at Valparaiso University.

I would imagine Coach Dave Doeren becomes a hotter commodity in the coaching market after last nights MAC Championship win over Hazell’s Kent State team. Good game to watch.

Done deal ISU’s Tent Miles to Georgia State.

  • Geoff on "Theo Pinson takes North Carolina over Indiana"No one included UF in a list of academically rigorous schools... Once again you completely misread a post. Even funnier because it was a direct response to YOUR post about athletic recruiting standards. Coach K had absolutely no problem offering to Jabari Parker, did he? No one should, rules
  • TsaoTsuG on "Theo Pinson takes North Carolina over Indiana"By the way the list of outstanding schools mentions a few great schools in this country; and, surely, missed some. Certainly most of the Ivies, the three Academies, most of the B1G (including Purdue), Vanderbilt, Cornell, Tulane, California, Stanford. • TsaoTsuG on "Theo Pinson takes North Carolina over Indiana"I think what I said is that Duke is an outstanding university, which it is. • TsaoTsuG on "IU football adds lineman Nate Hoff to 2013 recruiting class"Chet, I don't think I disagree one bit with your comment. And surely pro and college teams have both medical and physical training staffs (as well as dietitians)trained to deal with these issues and accountable for the well being of a player. I do question a criteria based on bigger-biggest
