1. HOOSIERS HQ
Big Ten cross country champ Zach Mayhew didn’t arrive at success as a Hoosier overnight, Dustin writes.

2. NOT HOOSIERS HQ, BUT STILL THE HT
Bloomington South girls’ basketball coach Larry Winters has come under scrutiny for the Panthers’ 107-2 drubbing of Arlington Tuesday night, Mike Miller writes.

South should be ashamed of the final score and its response to the score, Andy writes.

3. IT’S INDIANA
The Hoosiers remain second in the SI.com power rankings, while their block percentage is examined with an eye on the return of Jurkin and Perea, Luke Winn writes.

The defensive numbers through the first nine games this season and the first nine games last season are significantly better for IU, Mike Portscheller of BTN.com writes.

Cody Zeller comes in a mere fifth on the Wooden Award ballot of ESPN.com’s Jason King.

4. BIG EAST NO MORE?
Reports are that the Big East’s seven Catholic and non-Divison I football schools will leave the league — with some huge ramifications, Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo! Sports writes.

No doubt IHSAA rules for BB should have mandated Coach Larry Winters to allow his team to have the ball stolen 53 times in a row for uncontested scores by Arlington until they had 108 points. And then so each player felt good about the fair(?) competition(?) give everyone a winning trophy.
