What’s the deal with Len Elmore? In the past 5 minutes he’s proclaimed that Miles Plumlee is better than Zeller AND he’ll be challenged more in ACC competition than Zeller will in the Big Ten and also stated that charge/block calls were being called based on which team you were (i.e. IU was getting all the calls).
Has he grown tired of working for the Big Ten Network?

Wasn’t Elmore an ACC guy? Maryland?
Anybody know why Hollowell isn’t in candy stripes?

Oh yeah. He’s a legend at Maryland. One of their best ever.

I agree Chet. Elmore seemed out of his element, not making sense at times. I guess the case for red shirting Jurkin can be thrown out, despite looking shaken. Perea looked more comfortable. No Jeremy. Hmmm …

It would be toss-up between Elmore or Vitale.
With Vitale I can take Tylenol.
With Elmore, I get the headache from trying to figure out what hes talking about

Maybe Elmore is one of those kids who got the basketball part, but never a clue about the rest of the education part.
Pros: 1) Loved watching Hanner’s confidence grow as the game went on. Will be a force in defending the basket and rebounding in the B1G. 2) Great free throw shooting with Zeller leading the way. 3) VO’s game is superb
Cons: 1) Hulls constantly over dribbling…PASS THE DAMN BALL. 2) Nonchalant passes by Yogi, Will and the rest leading to turnovers…newsflash: you ain’t the Globetrotters so knock it off. 3) Will’s free lance defense will get us killed in the B1G. 4) Len Elmore is a Maryland grad and immediately cam out against their move to the B1G when it happened so you could tell by his jabs at IU about getting homecooking from the refs, Zeller vs. Plumlee and the B1G vs. the ACC.
Dustin – do your job and get us the 411 on why JH wasn’t suited up.
Tom Crean leads off the press conference without being prompted, reading a written statement saying Jeremy Hollowell is out with a private, personal matter not related to academics or a disciplinary issue. So there’s that.
Thanks for stepping up, Jeremy. Twitter is blowing up with JH transfer rumors. Please investigate.

Hopefully it’s just a bad rumor. He will get his time, if he is patient. Regardless I hope this can be cleared up soon.

Transfer rumors! I’m trying to think of why he might want to transfer (pure speculation). Why would Hollowell want to transfer? He’s gotten a lot of playing time this year, so he can’t be upset about not getting an opportunity. Unless he thought he was going to come in and take a starting spot held by VO or CWat, which would be delusional, he’s got to be feeling pretty good about his playing time, right?
According to Crean, he’s O.K. academically and physically. And he’s not in trouble regarding discipline or the law. On the surface, there would not seem to be any obvious reason why he would want to transfer. I hope those rumors are not true.

I have nothing to offer but a little more speculation. W/O issues of academics or behavior, could there be a parent problem?
IU adds lineman for the fallIndiana football hosts Navy this fall and will include a freshman lineman who ultimately opted to be a Hoosier rather than a Midshipman.
Punjab on "IU football adds lineman Nate Hoff to 2013 recruiting class"HC, there was a kid named Shane Moat that played nose tackle for Bloomington South from the class of '98. He had some pretty freakish weight room numbers himself, was named Indiana Mr Football, and oh by the way also ran on South's state-qualifying 4x100 meter relay team in track.
Hoosier Clarion on "IU football adds lineman Nate Hoff to 2013 recruiting class"Just adding a bit of trivia. In 1999 Rob Riti a Senior center for the Missouri Tigers football team successfully squatted 1000 lb. in off season conditioning. He also ran a 4.8 40. In a combined 3 lift combo he hefted 1900 lb. with the squat, power
TsaoTsuG on "Abell commits to Xavier"Orange...not to rain on your parade; but, just curious about your lead title/blog ID. Do you mean "The Orange Rein Supreme" as in the orange straps attached to pull their mouth shut, or pull it one way or another?
Or did you mean, ...Reign Supreme, as Indiana basketball has reigned over
Geoff on "Abell commits to Xavier"TORS - not agreeing or disagreeing with anything you've said... Just wondering, in what way has Crean exploited D-wade or Dipo?
I'm a fairly avid reader of Hoosier news and I haven't ever noticed it. Can you give some examples?
Punjab on "Indiana's Michael Basil the Big Ten Baseball Player of the Week"Got to catch a bit of the BTN replay of the OSU game where we clinched. The OSU closer was actually looking to tie the B1G single-season saves record when we came back to tie in the ninth. Fun stuff. It's equally interesting that, if I'm not mistaken, Scwarber
