Inside Indiana and Peegs.com are both reporting that Indiana has earned a verbal commitment from Nigel Tribune, a cornerback from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Fla. Tribune was previously committed to Iowa State. More to come.

Per ESPN CF recruiting blog…

“This young man is a sleeper on the recruiting trail with natural quickness and coverage skills. He lacks great size and speed on paper but plays bigger and faster than his combine measureables and is a very smart and aware football player.”

I like the sound of that. Yet another strong get by Wilson et al. Positive steps…just need to translate it into more wins on the field in time.

Sounds like another solid recruit. Haven’t been able to find any film on him but judging from all other commits I’ll trust Coach Wilson and his staff. By the way Dustin (or anyone else), do you anything about IU pulling its offer from Jacobi Hunter? I saw his tweet and it looks like he just committed to Cal.

Don’t know how to start a thread on this blog, so I’m posting her. Hope y’all are pulling for Baltimore in the Super Bowl. When Tandon Doss left IU early for the NFL draft some of the posters here badmouthed him for bailing out on IU when the going got tough (new coach, etc.) and predicted that he’d flop, that he should have gotten his degree in sports recreation or whatever, etc. BUT he’s in the Super Bowl. See this: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-07-02/sports/bs-sp-ravens-doss-0703-20110702_1_receivers-coach-lynch-tandon-doss

Davis:
If you didn’t see, we wrote about Doss in the H-T is well. I talked to him last week.
