This is the one game I don’t mind Sheehey, or anyone else, doing the Three To The Temple….

I hope does it all night.

Btw, is the Purdue fan-base that ignorant that they didn’t think Hammons committed that 2nd foul!

That half is the best overall basketball I’ve ever seen Dipo play… His defense was great as usual, he made a couple shots… But his decision making was superb!

I hate to complain when IU is up by 20 at half, but in the first ten minutes of the game, the referees made some of the worst calls and non-calls I’ve ever seen. Credit the Purdue fans for making a lot of noise and influencing the refs, but that was laughable.

O.K., let’s keep this up for another 20 minutes and make a statement on Purdue’s home court. Then, when they come to Bloomington in February, we can really give them an ass-whupping.

He should have 5 assists in that 1st half, and he only has 1 because guys missed wide open looks.

He also knocked down that jumper when Yogi got called for the illegal rub screen (iffy call, but the 3rd time they whistled it tonight)

On defense I can remember 6 turnovers he created by himself between steals, charges, and pressure forcing errors, plus the block…

He should be conference defensive player of the year, first team all B1G, first team all-American, and you could make a case for B1G POY, and national POY.

Right now Russ Smith is the only perimeter player in the country that effects the game the way Dipo does, and his team isn’t playing as well as IU.

And we’re not even shooting it well.

If we get to 47% for the game well win by 45…

Pathetic that Hammons owns Z down low, totally exposing his weak low post defense.

That was one hell of a ticky tack foul on Cody… I guess the refs want to keep the BTN execs happy.

BTN announcers quote of the game. On Hammonds, “How good is he going to be in years past?”

Well…I’d say that’s easy enough to find out.

Now you get a sense for what Cody being on the back line means for help purposes…

Interesting that HP is getting zero run.

Part of why I stick to the comments section… I say dumb shit all the time, but usually by the time it goes from my brain out my fingers, I revise it 5 times, and then press Submit Comment it comes out the way I intend.

Good news. They’ve stopped calling fouls on Purdue… Completely.

Refs have totally given up on this game.

Wonder if that is Crean’s cue to get Jurkin a couple minutes?

Has Raphael Smith ever played minutes against Purdue?

Pul-eeez…don’t anyone try any say how great Hammonds was in a game they lost by nearly 40 points. What did he get, 3 rebounds?

I thought it could be a tight game. I’ve never been so elated to be an idiot.

Wish I could have watched the game. Only got to see a little of the first half..Wow. We must have been firing on all cylinders.

How did Cody play? Did he appear soft? He looked like he was pretty involved in the opening minutes..He surprised me with a sweet turnaround jumper.

Does anyone know if BTN is doing a replay tonight or tomorrow?

What an absolute beatdown! Watched through ESPN Gamecast. This team was obviously firing on all cylinders, and then some! I LOVE it! Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosier!

Elston appeared to be solid as well. Just a overall great game!

Wow. That was total destruction. I missed much of the first half, but from what I saw that was easily our most impressive performance to date. A couple thoughts:

When we play like that, nobody can beat us.

Great to see Derek back– and be able to knock some shots down, to boot. Same with Creek.

Got a lot of quality minutes from reserves even before it started to get out if hand.

Got to hand it to the Mackey fans. They were a great home team crowd even when down 30+

Purdue has a bright future, and Hammons looks like he’s going to be a stud. He may have scored 6-8 of his 30 in the last three minutes when Cody was already done, but he still looked like he’s going to be a force for years.

It was refreshing to see Wat show a little fire. Conversely, I wished I could read lips when CTC was talking to Sheehey after his orangutang show.

Great win. Now on to Michigan.

The true difference in this game was toughness. purdue just played. IU came in & left with an attitude. We have a tough bunch with Elston, Remy, Hulls, Dipo, Sheehey, & dare I say CWat….he was a force on the boards & actually did the best job of anyone on Hammons for a short stint. Wish Z would picture every big guy as if he were Tyler or Luke, assuming the “when they were at home” hype is true. I get tired of that “story” when he is so soft with us. He played aggressive for sure, but he should’ve dominated the Hammons kid. He has more tools but needs to develop the outside 10 – 12 ft. shot to loosen up his drive to the hole. Bet he hasnt hit a shot beyond 10 ft. all year has he? That’s why he needs to come back. Also he needs more strength with the basketball to finish lay-ups. Solid numbers tonight & neutralized the middle….oh shucks, maybe my standards are just too high like SI’s in preseason.

All that said, I bet Hammons doesn’t score 10 at IU. Anyone want that action?
