With two wins in a three-game series in Florida this weekend, Indiana’s baseball team cracked the Top 25 for the first time in school history, coming in at No. 24 in the Baseball America Top 25. The Hoosiers (8-3) are also in the Perfect Game Top 30.

This ranking is only going to rise, and this season is going to be histroy making for the IU baseball program. Coach Smith has done one heck of a job!

It’s amazing what new stadium facilities can do for a program. Keep up the good work, Coach Smith. You did great work for years with some of the worst baseball facilities in the country.

Going over later today to see them play. The tournament is in my home town and I try to go to see anyone in an I.U. uniform when they come to play nearby. Go Hoosiers! It was funny, a few years ago when I went one of the spectators asked me if I was someones mother because that was about all that was there were parents.

Just noticed that I was wrong about them being in town! Thanks, Ron! The schedule that I had, had them playing again in Winter Haven, but I think that was last week. Glad you commented so I checked. LOL!

Betting the team wishes they were in Winter Haven instead of Winter Ohio.

Last yr, couple of yrs ago the IU Women’s Golf team was in Venus, Florida. I stopped by but golf is not a spectator sport. The Men’s golf team is at Howey-in-the-Hills today. One of my favorite Fl places.
