Jeremy – Did you guys ever figure out the B1G tourney tie breaker scenarios? I’m told if MSU beats UW tonight and beats NW on Sunday that IU is the #1 seed even if we lose to UM.

I need this confirmed because it’s the difference of being at the United Center for an 11am game on Friday vs. an 8pm game.

Aruss,
It’s not this simple, but basically any tiebreaker scenario involving Michigan State goes in IU’s favor. Any scenario involving Wisconsin, not so much. Should it somehow not involve either of those teams, then it’s a mess because IU would have split with both Michigan and Ohio State. Some of this will be cleared up tonight, most of it not until Sunday.

It’s in the paper today, Aruss.

Peegs tweeted this link: http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/110512aac.html

Please have your research team run through all the scenarios based on each team’s current record and upcoming games for us.

Thanks!

Earth to Dustin – no one reads newspapers. Post it here or pretend I asked the question in today’s Q&A and answer it there.

Wow what a season, IU gets beat in final home game, last night Nova beats GT, the Canes get beat by The Ramblin Wreck and pUKe is nowhere on the landscape. That is a whole lot of sky falling.

Kentucky lost by double digits again and, despite the importance of the Wisconsin-MSU game, it’s going about as expected: barely watchable.

Aruss, by my estimation IU has the #1 seed. If I’m translating the tie-breakers correctly, Wisconsin was the only team that would have taken it over us. They lost. Even a split with Mich means that we would go to the head-to-head matchups of the teams next in the standings, and our MSU sweep means we take it over everyone else. Please correct me if I’m wrong, anyone, but this is how I read it.
