Former Indiana forward Christian Watford confirmed via text message that he will be playing for the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons in the NBA’s two summer leagues.

Watford will be with the Pistons in the Orlando Pro League July 5-11 and the Warriors in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas July 11-21. Watford averaged 9.8 points and 5.2 rebounds playing for Hapoel Eilat in Israel last season after finishing his career at Indiana in 2013.

Really happy for C-Wat. before it’s all said and done, he’ll be an NBA Forward during the regular season. Always will be my favorite Hoosier.

Baseball coach? Any news about a baseball coach? Or are we gonna go without since Mr. Smith went to the desert?

Nope, they’re just going to fold up the baseball program.

Sorry, my bad. Posted this on Twitter and wrote a story about it, but didn’t write about it here. Chris Lemonis, Louisville assistant, and Ball State head coach Rich Maloney have been in for interviews. Looks like it’s going to be one of those two. Here’s the story in today’s paper.
