Sam Travis Named Golden Spikes Semi-finalist

Indiana first baseman Sam Travis was one of 21 college baseball players named a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, one of the national player of the year honors. Travis was named Big Ten Player of the Year and is hitting .342 with 10 home runs and 53 RBI.

Indiana earns No. 4 national seed, plays Youngstown State Friday at 7 p.m. in regional opener
